Seminar and workshop on drupal

This workshop tht I would profoundly remember all my life .....2day on the 18th July it feels that we can organize quality events and set high standards to ourselves which we would always like to break and set them even higher.

The workshop had not been planned well in advance and to start off it was not a very good sign that it was not actually done in time. I dont repent not having done so coz Al's well that ends well. Next time we do it we have a plan at least 15 days in advance and before 10 days we announce the seminar. But this gives space to something that I dont really like that is cancellations ...If you give somebody the time to think he is sure to come out with something unexpected and tht does not suit me when after registering a person comes and says 'can I get my money back?' In my mind many things go but it is restraint that I need to exercise.

This time we had all plans and things ready 2 days in advance but is really 2 days fine ??? i Guess this time its yes but not everytime. We planned the cost and all after which we finally decided that it would be 50 for members and free for the members. I wanted that members should get their due and I insisted and resisted to any opinion that was in favour of changing it to any amount. Now we started with the expectation that we would be getting around 30 non members and that was the below line for us. Somewhere in the back of my mind i always thought would it be only 30??

It was not to be. We went to all classes and announced about the workshop and the response when I saw the faces that were gasping at me was not encouraging .Each class that I went to showed no interest and I could only guess that the no. would be below 30 and that I wouold have to fetch people for the same. Time was leaving and we had almost announced in all the classes and the response was to been seen in the first recess, still no positive sign even in the first20 mins... but as I moved towards the lab there were some students eagerly waiting and they lifted my spirits, in 10 mins I had almost 10 registrations and this continued so much so that in 2 hours we had filled more than 6o seats 100% more than 30 tht we expected to. Registrations were pouring in and there were people who wanted to get themselves in any how.. this was the first time I saw that we were preparing the waiting list and that to on the first day of announcement.
Gr8!!!

Next came the arrangements.. we had a gud and enthusiastic which was sure to manage the show....and they did it exceedingly well.... we decided to spend as much as we could on increasing the quality of the workshop.. and we ensured tht we finally did.... food ws great and everybody enjoyed ... I guess there were few people who didnt have the snacks coz they couldnt have potatoes, it feels sorry that we couldnot preplan and arrange for them but still on a larger note things were going well.....that to after the sessions in which the last session which didnt prove out very well ... mike could very well be blamed for it and so could we be....for reasons not to be mentioned.

The lab sessins started at a slow pace but then they moved briskly.. and everyrhing was fine again and all were enjoying....I talked with few and the response ws positive..... relieved was I...
We had 92 registrations and to please them all is no childs play.. but we did succeed and eventually it turned out to be gr8....

finding THE RIGHT BUSINESS

When I see around I see many succesfull people around having made their marks in various fields. One always feels that to start something and make it go as per expectations is no childs play. Having said that when I again look around for a second oppurtunity I always feel thats it one cannot have more things than this in the world, all needed inventions are done and whatever services had to be started are done so........ WAt To DO now ???? Wat business to get into ??? wat to start that really clicks ...??? This questions takes us to the brim and makes us to think something out of the blue and start something that has not been heard of so far.. the concept should be fresh and it should be new.. people should feel interested and they should continue to do so till the thing is supported by me .... always I should be on my toes to start that and make sure I am as fresh as vigourous as I had been on the first day .. the zeal in me should not die down and I should be up and running ... facing the world....and bringing the very best of me out..

FOOD to eat or FOOD to travel

When i here about the growing use of bio-diesel and ethanol, I always ponder wether to be happy thinking that the energy crisis are lastly to be solved and finally the petrol prices would come down within limits that I could afford. With the latest irony ' Which is the costliest place you could take your girl friend to ??? The answer is 'Petrol Pump'!!! In such days when I find that solar energy is making its mark and so are other non conventional sources of energy like biofuel and ethanol. Countries like brazil are making big leaps in using this energy conserving sources and so called life saving sources of energy. No doubt that this energies would be more efficient but at what cost???

The question seems to be very irrelevant to one who would not consider farmers growing interest in growing crops to produce ethanol and stuff. How much are we compensating for manufacturing oil that is not a bare neccesity against food without which only some famous saints had lived before nd its already history?? With this shift of focus farmers would ultimately lead to produce more of fuel than food and we already are witnessing some good cues about it seeing the average increase in the global food prices. So fuel at the cost of food , luxury at the cost of life?? Seems to be a great topic of debate.. And this debate will heat on as days go by and they are surely going to take ugly forms and its not that we will witness wars for food... Hope we restrain ourselves from that and we start changing our livestyles... coz the doom day will be hard to live in........

Employee- Employeer scenerio as i percieve

I would start by telling about a small example that I know of. One critical situation for a small company which is looking for expansions but really cannot go with it because of human resources crunch. It tries to grow , where it finds need for more proactive and skilled labour but cannot find one because such people would better find a job in some good compnay and get a fat paychek rather than serving some 'not so popular organization', by good company I mean the brands that come associated with the companies, it too is becoming a glamour quotient. I hear of some of my senior friends taking pride in being associated with companies like NOKIA, irrespective of the job that are doing there , irrespective of the monotonus and stereotype, well defined small setup that they are confined to , they do take a lot of pleasure on being associated with it.

So here lies the problem what should be given more space? Having room for creativity, experiments , exposure or simply the most lured thing in the world money???

Now I come to the second face of the problem. According to a report that I just read, it says that only 10% of the people who complete their graduation are industrially fit....atleast this is true for engineers. But seeing the development going around its simply jobs raining and companies are finding it difficult to retain the employees, even those who belong to that 90% category. ISN'T IT
A PARADOX???
